I was on a mission today to find a dress to wear to Vegas this weekend. Just One Good Dress. So I left for work two hours early, thinking I could shop on M Street. Therein lies the problem in my planning. Because M Street, while lovely, has two types of clothing stores. There are fabulous ones like Anthro and J Crew, who sell lovely things, but unfortunately do not shout, "Life's a gamble, let's roll" (Which, yes, is my Vegas motto). And then there are Expensive Stores. And by Expensive I mean, I will be left without money for gambling. Again, not speaking to my motto.
I really thought I had stumbled on retail goodness when I passed a shop with neon clothes in the window. But twelve feet into the store, after having NOT been greeted by a sales person, I realized I was indeed in an Expensive Store. I felt the need to tell the sales people staring at me that YES, I did indeed know that my entire outfit cost about the same as one of their ugliest left shoes, but instead I figured, "Hey, at least I don't look like Vegas everyday of the week." I almost bought something, just to say "HA." but then I tripped over a $700 yellow shirt and fell out the door.
So, Vegas, get ready. I am coming to you live without a brand spanking new dress but with money to invest in Blackjack. And my girls, get ready. I am coming to you live in a repeat outfit.

Or maybe, instead of flying all the way to Las Vegas, I will just sit on Facebook and look at photos. Because seriously? They rock my life.
