It's week four and I love this project.

What happened this week? We found out from my doctor that baby girl had a slight anomaly on her ultrasound. This was alarming and hard to hear. As mentioned, on Tuesday (1/29) we went in for a Level II Ultrasound and found out that she is looking great and we should have nothing to worry about. We are so relieved and so blessed. In the spread, I documented some thoughts on what we were going through with that on two 3x4 cards. We also put an offer in on an (amazing) house in San Diego. There will be more info on that to follow.
Anything special in the spread? Lots of the same! Loving the journaling cards. I used two 3x4 pockets to share knitting progress on my blanket and I liked that effect. I also cut a folded journaling card down to 3x4 to share text about the citrus mocktails Paul has been making me.
Techniques this week : I took a photo of the house listing on my iPad with extra white space to the side so I could add some handwritten journaling about our thoughts on it and putting in an offer. I hadn't planned on the diagonal letter stickers, but they fit better that way than horizontal and I love the look.
Overall thoughts : It's so easy to add photos of me and much harder to add photos of Paul. This totally comes back to me being the "photographer" in the house and being comfortable with self-portraits. I really need to take more photos of Paul! Currently, I plan on having him take photos with his phone and emailing them to me from deployment. Hopefully that happens. :)
Ratio of iPhone photos to "real camera" photos : 6 to 3.
Supplies used : Seafoam core kit, Studio Calico Project Life kit (grid 3x4 card), Elise Joy PS I LOVE YOU stamp, Freckled Fawn hello wood chip, Amy Tangerine orange slickwriter pen (coming soon), Basic Gray for Studio Calico letter stickers, Ormolu brave badge, Martha Stewart & Avery labels.
Tools used : Design A pocket pages, Fiskars corner rounder, Zig Millenium pen, Rotatrim paper trimmer, Office Depot date stamp, staz-on ink. All photos were printed at home on my HP Photosmart 2575 printer on Office Depot semi-gloss photo paper.
Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. I use photos, text and stuff to document our life weekly. You can see all the posts from 2012 here and 2013 here. Do you have a question about how I am tackling this project? Check here.
