This week I signed up for a library card. This has been on my to-do list since we moved to San Diego the first time (three years ago) and so to say I feel accomplished (and a bit sheepish) is an understatement. So excited to have free and easy access to books. I know as Ellerie grows we'll spend more and more time there. Very cool.
Yesterday, I took photos all day to share a "Day in the Life" here on the blog and in my Project Life album. I uploaded the first half yesterday afternoon and found myself tearing up as I looked through them. (This may say something about my current hormonal state.) It was hard to put my finger on the reason for my tears (of joy) but I guess it's amazing to me how much my days have changed but how much is exactly the same too. It's an odd mix of a much slower pace (while she is awake) and high speeds (while she sleeps). I have to say ... I love it.
Today my mom is coming down to visit for a few days and we are all excited. It will be awesome to see her (and show her how much Ellerie has changed in just two weeks!) and I'm hoping to get ahead on a few projects (there are currently three quilting adventures in progress) while I have an extra set of hands.
Have a great weekend.
