Thank you.

Hi, hi.

I am so glad that some people stayed on the adventure path all year. I fell off the wagon with my own pages but loved seeing what you all came up with.

To those of you that joined late, or just discovered the blog, I am planning on keeping this site open and available if you are interested in finishing the challenges or starting from the top this year.

Thanks for your support! You all kept me motivated.

Happy happy 2009!

Operation 52 : Resolutions

What were your resolutions this year? Did you keep them?

Are you planning on resolving to do something in 2009?

Thank you for joining me on this Paper Adventure. I will be back in a few days with closing thoughts.

Happy Happy new year!

Operation 51 : Holiday

I recognize that not everyone celebrates Christmas - and may not even be celebrating this week. What do you celebrate annually?

Operation 50 : Winter

Today it got to 17 degrees where I am and finally felt like winter. How is the winter weather near you?

Operation 49 : Secret

Do you have a secret? Can you keep a secret?

Operation 48: Tradition

We just got back from picking up our Christmas tree - our second one together. I love that Paul and I are starting our own holiday traditions - what are some of your traditions? Holiday or otherwise...

Operation 47 : Thankful

It is Thanksgiving week here in the US and I am so excited (and thankful) to be going home to Sacramento, California in just over a day.

What are you thankful for this week?

(Have a safe and lovely holiday!)

Operation 46 : Save

I have been spending some time on my other blog talking about recycling and reusing items. And thinking a lot about ways to save money. What are your thoughts this week on SAVING? Or not saving?

(Sorry for the delay - I will have Operation 47 up soon as well.)

Operation 45 : History

Tuesday was a big day in the United States. History was made - and it would have been made no matter who won the election.

Tell me something big that has happened in your lifetime. Something that is part of your history.

Operation 44 : Pretend

Late Late Late.

In honor of Halloween yesterday, the challenge is Pretend. Who or what do you like to pretend to be?

Operation 43 : Music

Tell me about music.

Operation 42 : Layers

Interpret this one how you like. What are some layers of you? Of your relationships? Anything.

Levels & Layers.

Operation 41 : Worry

I could not sleep last night. It was my own fault. I read Business Week right before going to bed and became terrified of the horrible US economy. Ugh. What a disaster.

I am no where near retirement have about $350 in the stock market and yet I cannot help but worry.

What is on your mind these days? What are you mulling over? What is causing you to worry?

Operation 40 : Style

What is your style?

Operation 39 : Work

So we did play.

And now will try work. The things you do because you have to do them. What is your approach? What do you love? What do you hate? What keeps you going?

Operation 38 : Fall

We did spring....we have to do fall. I will probably be kicking myself when October and pumpkins get here but the seasons are strarting to change so now feels good.

Operation 37 : CHOOSE.

What do you choose to do? Who do you choose to be? What attitude to you choose to have?

Operation 36 : Collections

IMG_0066 True story.

I also collect clutches, letterpress, calendars and rubberstamps.

All sort of by accident.

What do you collect?

Operation 35 : Start.

What are you starting new? What do you want to start? What is a new beginning for you?

Please share.

And I am sorry for the delay. I got an interesting email complaining about my delayed posting. I really never meant for this to be a HARD deadline thing, and I am sorry if I have failed your expectations. I will continue to post a challenge every week until the year is up. Thank you for your patience.

Operation 34 : To - Do.

Sorry for the delay....right now my mind is on a million different things. Thank you for your patience!

This week: What is on your agenda? Today, tomorrow, this month, this year?!?!

manifesto

  • At the root of all art, I believe there is life. And life encourages art. Everything is a self-portrait. Embrace it.

  • Create a minibook. Whatever that means to you. I will post a prompt on Tuesday of each week in 2008. You run with it. If it means writing down a sentence. If it means taking a photo. If it means creating an entire layout. Documentation is good. Do it.
  • Now that it is 2009, I will no longer be posting weekly challenges. This site will be open indefinitely for you to browse if you would like.
