Drive to Berk.  Get dressed.  Get dinner.  Get ready.  Drink a little.  Walk a little.  Show IDs.  Buy a pitcher.  Find a table.  Find a quarter.  Play a little.  Laugh a lot.  Drink a lot.  Buy more beer.  Get hungry.  Get shady Mexican food to-go.  Walk home.  Get in PJs.  Eat shady Mexican food.  Fall asleep in an oversized bean bag chair.  EnJOY it all.

Dictionary.com defines it as the return to a point of origin of evaluative or corrective information about an action or process.

My brain defines it as essential.

The job is requiring me to give it and to take it.  Apparently I am struggling with both.

Ultimately it is about communication.  About open and honest delivery.  About trust.  Trust in my own opinions and trust in my ability to handle the opinions of others.

Got an email last night that Scrapbook Trends Magazine is going to publish a layout that I submitted with this photo on it.

Love the photo.  Love the layout.  Love that it is going to be in print.

Good news is great news these days.  Holler.

working relationships.

I am blessed with the ability to read.  Read situations.  Read people.  Quickly get a sense of what is happening and why.  It is very helpful in my personal relationships and very interesting in my working relationships.

Am starting to really sort out the relationships between people at work.  Starting to see how important professionalism is.  How lack of it causes problems.  And also how excess use of it buries issues.  Very interesting.  Very important to my development and success at this store.

Am learning the importance of building report with your workers.  How leading a team, store or company is similar to being president of The Phi.  How it is also so very different. 

Management: Sometimes we seek it & sometimes it seeks us.  Trying to gather all the information I can so I am prepared either way.

good 3 days.

Ending the weekend.

So nice to enJOY a few days off.  Spent some time with the fam which has not happened in awhile.  Shopped at Target.  Shopped at Michaels.  Scrapped a little.  Cleaned the room.  Cleaned the clothes.  Went to yoga.  Had some coffee.  Saw the girls.  Good times.

Reporting to work tomorrow at 4am.  Going to see how the truck gets unloaded and the store gets stocked.  That is a little early to take it all in.  Should make for an interesting eight hour shift.

And Paul made it to Providence.  Solid.
