overwhelming sense of good.

I do not make 12x12 layouts.

They intimidate me.

That said, I am a big fan of the 12x12 cardboard that comes with internet orders. So I save it. Until the moment is right.

Last night, I was reading up on blogs and checking gmail while Paul studied. And I started to feel an Overwhelming Sense of Good. And I started to just repeat the phrase over and over in my head and then all of the sudden, I made the above. With the random stuff on top of my desk. The leftovers. The goodies.

It reminds me of this guy that I posted about back in July.

Same idea. 12x12 cardboard. Random stuff. Phrase in the head that needs to make it to the magic gluestick.

I am going to save up my cardboard. And make more when the ideas strike. And then when I have a pile a foot high, i am going to use book rings the size of dinner plates and bind the beast. It shall be my cardboard child. We'll call him "McLovin'."

Paul drove me to the metro this morning. Saving me from dragons having to find a parking spot and exorbitant parking fees. This meant I made it into Georgetown 45 minutes before my shift started. So I wandered. And by wandered, I mean drooled on expensive bedding at Anthropologie. I almost broke down and bought a bedskirt for $62 but then realized that not only did it not match in color or size, but also that the purchase would completely cancel out my saved parking fee (and a decent portion of my first paycheck).

A-ha! Shopping victory. My knight is proud.
