The flowers arrived. 500 of them. And in under 40 minutes, I got the stems cut off and all of them into water. My hand might fall off, but I am fielding calls from the Guinness Book of World Records so I figure it's worth it.
They look super orange from above but from the side are a bit too yellow. But the moral of the story is "Roll with it." The end of the story is "Get married." So instead of panic, I chopped and now I'm feeling very good about the whole thing. I might go buy some ALL ORANGE roses for the boutonnieres, but other than that, we're good. Thank you, Mom, for the help and the encouragement. Love you.
And if you don't think the above looks like 500 roses, that's because it isn't. These are the 175 roses that I un-boxed last after reading the directions. Apparently, that white cardboard is supposed to stay in place. If you ever want me to not do something, PUT IT IN THE DIRECTIONS. Chances are, I'll read them very late in the game.
FOUR DAYS! So much flower work to do. My hand hurts. LOVE!
