On Friday, I had my girls help with making boutonnieres. It was hilarious and much more successful then I anticipated. (Did anyone take photos?)
On Saturday, I had them making centerpieces. The hotel gave us a conference room for prep work and we piled in. I had already trimmed off the leaves so it was just a matter of chopping the stems and placing them in water. It was easy. SUPER EASY. So easy that I walked around the hotel bored for two hours after we were done.
This is a internet high five for anyone who wants to do their own flowers. Keep it simple. Organize your time. Smile when people think you're nuts. If you want to, you can totally do it.
Our vases were margarita cups from Crate & Barrel and the roses were from Costco. I had them delivered on Tuesday, and they looked lovely for the wedding on Saturday. We probably only had to throw out 15 out of 500. I hope to have more photos to share of the centerpieces on the tables as well as the bouquets soon.
(thank you, michelle for the action shots. xo.)
p.s. my heart headband is ban.do.
