September! Oh man.
I'm starting to get into that autumn mood. Partly because the days are getting shorter again (the worst!) and the back to school supplies have been up at Target for what feels like forever (the best!). In general, I am a summer girl. I love the heat, the extra sunshine, watermelon and corn on the cob. But this year, I am more excited than usual for the change of season. I am looking forward to needing a scarf (as much as we ever need them in southern California) and picking out pumpkins. I am looking forward to hosting Thanksgiving. I am anxious to start drinking tea in the evenings. I am excited for new projects. This will be Ellerie's first fall! That in itself is exciting.
Autumn feels like a good time to make stuff, get outside and curl up. So that's exactly what I plan to do. This month I would love to :
- frame & hang more photos
- go for a run or walk everyday
- read a book
I haven't read a book since before Ellerie was born! My last two books were this one & this one (I enjoyed them both!). Lately, I haven't had the focus to read anything longer than a blog post (though I'm currently on level 135 of Candy Crush...so there is that) and I really want to dive into some actual reading this month. Hopefully it will cause a domino affect and I'll be back to devouring novels again. I recently ordered prints and am excited about a few framing projects. And now that it's cooling down and Ellerie is content in the Ergo we've got to get out for more walks.
Here we go, September. I feel like you're going to be downright fantastic.
