It's funny - you do something once, it's nothing. You do it twice - it's something. You do it three times - it's tradition. This November, Paul and I will host our third Thanksgiving dinner in four years and we are very much looking forward to it. I realized a week ago that to build my "tradition" I needed to send out paper invitations (to the six family members we invite).
Per usual (see our 2010 invites here and 2012 invites here), I stuck with something handwritten and used supplies that I had on hand. This year it was gold Hambly transparencies layered on top of brown cardstock. I was looking through drawers to find the paper that would hold the text and I realized a Project Life 3x4 card would be perfect. I just had to round the corners of the 5x7 paper and it all made sense.
I wrote my simple text on the cards and stiched all three pieces together with my sewing machine. Then I stuck them in leftover envelopes, fancied them up with a heart stamp and washi tape and called them done! Now hopefully Ellerie's halloween costume will come together just as easily...
